Formal worship of Lord Shiva and Udyapan at the conclusion of the Solah (16) Somvar fast, with a pandit ji. Dakshina / Service charge: Starting from ₹3,000 (pandit ji included). The cost of puja samagri may be separate; this will be clearly explained at the time of booking. What is this puja In this ritual, Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati are worshipped and the fast is formally concluded. Usual samagri required • Shivling or picture of Shiva-Parvati • Gangajal, milk, curd, honey • Bel patra, dhatura • White flowers • Roli, mauli, akshat The full samagri list will be finalised after consulting the pandit ji. Auspicious date / muhurat Udyapan is usually held on a Monday; the correct date and muhurat will be fixed with the pandit ji.

Process / Steps

Step 1

Sankalp and Ganpati puja.

Step 2

Worship of Shiva-Parvati and abhishek of the Shivling with water and milk.

Step 3

Listening to the Vrat Katha and the Udyapan rites.

Step 4

Aarti and bhog offering. As per tradition, churma is prepared as prasad, which may differ in some homes.

Step 5

Feeding Brahmins or girls, daan and distribution of prasad.
